For the second time this year, I named the file incorrectly with 2013 instead of 2014, making the post upload to a year ago. Argh! It has now been corrected. >_<

Hallgrímskirkja is very cool for a number of reasons:

  • The overall sloping columns design is unique and beautiful.
  • Stones of different colors and sizes are laid to make the ground outside the church have interesting knot patterns.
  • The organ inside is crazy.
  • The tower offers an amazing view of Reykjavík.

I didn’t really spend much time there, but it was great.

I thought it was cool to run into another couple American tourists, and would have been open to maybe hanging out, but it didn’t happen. We just sort of introduced ourselves and went our own ways. Oh, well.

Tourism!
