This was kind of an uncomfortable Te og Kaffi experience lol.. I tried pronouncing the name of the cake, “brún lagkaka” (brown layer-cake), but I guess I had some difficulty? But I was also pointing to it, so I’m not sure why there was such a mixup. The barista very nicely prepared a slice of yellow cake, and I was hesitant to ask for a different one, but I really wanted to try the one I originally tried to order, so.. I tried again. Next, a rich-looking chocolate cake came out. Wrong again. :\ Finally, the third time, I was handed the correct cake. Whew. But what made it all the more uncomfortable, was that the other barista kept making fun of the poor guy each time he gave me the wrong one. Eesh! D:
Anyway, once that ordeal was over, I was able to enjoy my brún lagkaka and leppalúði (the holiday drink, which consists of a double-shot latte, with various creams and sauces).
News time! My Etsy store, which I set up and announced a few days ago, now also contains a listing for book 2 of my comic. FYI. : ) I’d also like to stock art prints at some point soon, so please let me know if there are any particular scenes or entire strips that you think would be nice to display on one’s wall. : D
