Perlan (“The Pearl”) is a touristy building with a unique look, due to being surrounded by hot water storage tanks. Inside, there’s an exhibition space, a few shops, a cafeteria, and a revolving restaurant at the top. It also contains the Saga Museum, a very cool museum about Iceland’s viking history (which I visited).
It sits on the top of a hill, and was visible from my room in Hotel Natura on my first trip. It’s one of the hotels you can stay in if you get a travel package through Iceland Air.
I believe my next illustration will be a closer shot of the entrance to Perlan. : )
